Interesting little knife. Looks handy. I think I will have to buy one.

Hello Django. Nice doggie. :)

Would you describe the knife as a frame lock or liner lock. What is the difference?

Yes frame lock. There are no scales over the lock. Although it looks like a liner lock with no scales. Lol

Sorry to bring up a year old thread but I was searching to see if anyone else on here was a fan of the Buck 418. Seems like no one talks about these.

Was at Academy Sports this weekend and picked up what I believe is a pewter colored model exclusive to their stores (I haven't seen one anywhere else). I like wharncliffe blades. Wish Buck would put them on more models. This is a handy little knife. I'm really glad this one doesn't have serrations. It's small, light, and might not be for everyone, but I like it.

I don't know if there is a lighter knife than that one. Very nice well built knife.

Nice Stoneware.. I think them and Maple Leaf from Monmouth, IL are probably the best...

Good Looking Knife....

I was looking at the Web specials for one but only the serrated ones were low priced ($20.00?)..I too was impressed with how light it must feel! I think one with a 3" blade would be a super EDC!
