Lightweight Zero Tolerance 0350 with Ti liners (possible mod). Thoughts?

For a while now, I have been thinking that if the 0350 was just a bit lighter, it would be a major contender for my perfect knife. I am sure it would not be cheap to have the steel liners replaced with titanium, but a perfect knife is rarely an easy journey. I would be foregoing the assisted functionality, so that will make the machining a bit simpler.

Sure, who cares about a few ounces here or there? Well, we all have our priorities. Mine are corrosion resistance, strong clip, rigid handle, one-hand opening, and weight.

I attempted to estimate the weight change if the liners were titanium but I could not find any measurements and I am not knowledgeable enough to solve it by simply looking a high quality picture, but maybe you are. :) By my calculations 6Al4V titanium is 56% of the weight of steel so I am imagining 1-2 ounces lighter... maybe.

So, any thoughts about this possible modification?

Sorry I can't offer assistance, but I would be very interested in the results if you get it done.
