I sent Joe a box of junk...and he sent back some fantastic Buck knives. Hats off to Joe Houser & Buck Knives. They all came back perfect! This is the Crown Jewel:D , it's awesome what Joe can do to a lump of coal;) A very nice Rain Drop pattern. I did the filework before it was sent for the blade up-grade.

SWEET!
it amasing what can be done by a true craftsman!
ugh were are the before picts?

So, will this damascus be available to the general public through the custom shop? It really looks nice.

Sorry Mike, I think there were only a few left weeks ago. I had been waiting on the 154CPM and it still wasn't available, so I opted for the damascus. Here's a post from panmann in another thread:

BBB, Buck did have about 50 Damascus blanks about 5 or so weeks ago. They didn't post it on their site as an option because they had so few blanks available. I ordered a custom Buck, (Damascus-serrated/NS bolsters/FG/Sambar Stag). ETA was given right before Xmas. They were charging I think around $70 or $75 for the Damascus upgrade. I think out the door I spent around $170. Just FYI...

On Sept 22 I got word from Buck that mine "was in the works". And, that they only had 50 blanks of the rain Damascus in stainless. Yep, stainless is what I was told.

Anyway, it must still be in the works as they have not cashed my check yet.

:( :( :(

BTW Scott...beautiful :)

I'd be satisfied if they would just break down and add S30V as an option in the custom shop. I've got a few knives I would send in for blade upgrades when that happens. :o

Very nice Scott :) . Be sure to post a pic of the DMSBFG 110 when it comes in!!!!!! Then I'll know what I missed out on :( .
