Well, I was able to take the first collection picture today, Khukuies only (though I put the Tamangs here too as I really don't know how to really class them). Tomorrow I will take the Swords picture as the Mini Tarwar came today (A really nice piece too, review to follow). Knives Photo will come a bit later when the last one gets here from Yangdu, later this week. Then folks, I am done for a few months until my special orders arrive. I am broke. Sure, I'll circle with the rest of the sharks to keep sharp but, I can't buy a thing for a few months at least. :( Which is likely to bring on all manner of things I had long wished to see... but they'll be back too someday. So here are the Khuks and stay tuned for the Swords tomorrow:

Top=>Bottom
Bonecutter.............Super Salyan.......ASTK-V
Bonecutter.............Salyan................ Hanuman
UBE-V...................Tamang............... Biralo
UBE......................Tamang............... Garud
Ultimate Fighter.....Tamang................YSC
Boomerang...........WWII...................CAK
Chainpuri..............WWII..................AK
Gangwal...............Sirupati
Little Special Run...Bhimsen
...........................Gent's AK

the two really little ones are Kagas Katne or Paper Cutters and I have a few more of those around. I give them to people for letter openers and such and my little nephews both got one so they can start their collections as well. They re handy little knives, I have one in my BP Possibles bag as a patch knife and one in my shaving kit for travel. Never know when a sturdy little knife will come in handy. :)

Chef, I think that's the Tamang with Neem wood.

Warty, is the ASTK-V still your absolute favourite? I thought the Tamang might've been the One for me, but after using a 12" CAK, and having a BDC on the way, I'm not so sure anymore...

cheftothestars:7rip13a is right on, a Neem Handled Tamang

Well the Khukuries will remain static at these (I actually forgot to take my super fancy chainpuri with the silver inlay, gray horn scabbard off the shelf for the shot). I have no more I want at all, there isn't a single one for sale I want... and no I don't have one of each, for instance I don't have a BAS nor an M43. In fact, I put the ones I am wanting to sell up in the picture too just because they are currently mine. I'd sell my Ultimate Fighter, the WWII's, smaller Bone Cutter, smaller Salyan Special (from the Memorial Day sale), the CAK and AK. I don't use them and they aren't really special and they are much happier working I wold think so I want them to find a nice home someday.

Tomorrow I will post up the Swords but I'll list them now for the heck of it...
I have a Tarwar, a Tarwar Villager, Mini Tarwar, Hauswher, Dukti, Short Tibetan, Bhutan and then the two sword length Khuks, a 30" Sirupate & a 25" Kobra. I have a sword or two I would still like to get for the collection and then this too will be all done, I would like an Indonesian Sword, a Giant Chitlangi Bowie & finally one more sword length khukuri but the type is not one I have decided on. I just know I don't want another Siru or Kobra and to qualify it needs to be at least 25" OAL or longer.

The Knives & Others Collection though, now here I am not likely to ever finish collecting. I eventually want one of each "R" and the N2 plus some of the different bowies and the list goes on and on. HI makes a plethora of blades besides khukuries and swords. I have sort of settled on this area as my niche to concentrate my collection/sharking efforts.

Not exclusively anymore, I use the Tamang a lot more often for routine tasks.

I break out the ASTK-V when it absolutely has to be chopped.
I also break it out for the larger chopping jobs in general, like small trees and stump removals.

Choosing just one? I would go with the Tamang now that I have been using it.
It is just more versatile in general than a heavier, thicker blade.
Even when chopping the thinner blade can make things a bit easier to do if you're willing to put more umph behind the swing.

WOW
You aren't kidding 'round
Can you do a list with the relative model names?
... like left to right so & so
I need to know I need:p

Daaaang warty - you make me sooo jealous at times :(
Also the handle on the Super Salyan is freaking intimidating! I don't think I could even wrap my small mit around it... and even if I could, I probably couldn't have enough of a grip to keep it from flying out of my hand the second I swung it!

(oh and I shot you an email btw )

 Wholly crow!

Liking the geometry on the upper right one ... and three zoomorphs! Nice.

Mike

Super Salyan has a name, "Ganesh, The Destroyer" :D Here I have t in hand with its smaller brother, the Salyan, for comparison.
I can get my hand around it, but just barely. It weighs a ton and it smashes more than chops its way through things.

I do collect at least three other lines of knives.... :)

Some of them should look familiar but only round about, you haven't sold me anything.
I would be most happy to buy from you though, if you had something I wanted.

Nice collection. What's up with the blades on these:

Is it just light or oil or do they have some nifty pattern? They look really cool.
