Like many knife enthusiasts, I always enjoy looking at knives my grandfather used to carry and use. I even bought a vintage Schrade Old Timer U.S.A. 25OT off eBay, that resembles one he used to use.

Has anyone ever gotten a knife that looks like their grandpa’s? I’d love to hear your stories about them.

I have knives owned by both my Grandfathers.

My mother’s father gave me his tackle box in the bottom was a two blade frontier hunting knife. It was rusted shut, but responded well to some tlc. I also have his Waltham pocket watch.

My Dad carried a USN PAL MKI deck knife for outdoor activities. He got it from his Dad. Then he gave it to me.

I have a cheese knife from my fathers mother, and a fancy zippo from my mothers mother. But you weren’t asking about grandmothers. Lol.

I’ll get them together for a portrait, later.

I have 3 like my grandfather carried, plus his, and one of the 3 was my first knife.

The knife in question is the humble little Victorinox classic sd.
They're such a useful little item even if I carry and use something else as a knife.
The scissors, driver, tweezers, toothpick.
It's all useful and it's blade will always be there and be razor sharp if I ever needed it for some reason.
