I've seen Micarta used in old electric fan blades. It's a fascinating material and related to G-10.

I remember reading a post here years back where someone stumbled into buying an extremely large piece for little to nothing. I’m probably wrong but I want to say like 4’x6’x1”, they were going to use it as a shop table.

I really miss that sometimes... I'm not that old but I'm old enough to have known people from those times. I'm old enough to remember a later time when people were optimistic and saw the future with a shining attitude. I remember science fiction that had the people of today in flying cars, taking jet packs to work, or even colonizing Mars.

I hear richlite is a counter top material you can get. Similar, just made with recycled paper pulp and a different epoxy.
