I originally posted the text below in a thread over in the "General" category for those that talked me in to getting a Sebenza. I thought I'd repost over here, as those monitoring this forum would likely appreciate my bliss. If interested in the original thread, it was called "Answer!" and is still active over there. I can safely say I'll be monitoring this forum more closely now...

Exquisite.

This is about as close to the perfect folder as I have ever seen. Every minor flaw or annoyance I have ever had on any other folder has been addressed and corrected in the Sebenza. Zero blade play -- open or closed. Locks up tight as a drum. Silky smooth; lightweight but not flimsey; beautiful without being over the top (The Grey WHAT? I think not.)

I can barely keep my hands off this thing. It has also come with the absolute sharpest blade I have ever encountered -- and that tumbled finish -- striking!

I swear this thread has taken be 10 minutes to write -- I keep taking my hands off the keys for some reason...

The ONLY problem with this knife: now I'll have to start saving for a small Regular Sebenza with a dual thumblug for my left front pocket...

Chris Reeve et al: I love you folks. :D

Hey, if there was no blade play in the closed position you would'nt be able to open it ;)

You have begun the long, enjoyable and costly road to Chris Reeve Heaven.

IMO they are the best production folders going and surpass many if not most custom makers, so they're well worth it.

I've got 3 Sebenza's a Mnandi and I'm still counting. Plan to add a NICA Tanto next, just need to do a little fund raising so my wife won't shoot me (did I mention I love guns too? :))

I like the soft grey color in the sunlight. It blends well with khaki or dark pants and its subtle understated elegance will insure it remains a classic.

I like both the large and the small for EDC and would like to have an Umfaan someday too.

Yes all the maddening imperfections of other folders have been answered very well with this folder.

I said to my two Benza's the other day, "did it hurt?" they looked at me in surprise and I reponded "when you fell from Heaven"

Yep its 12 cheese pitza time or a slap at the bar...:D

Amazing blades though, the Devil is in the DETAIL! Oh, yes!:)

I like the flatness (is that a word?) in my front pocket.

Get a Umfaan!

I love the new one best, but the plain is great with the other plain Sebenzas.

If I had to do it over again?

Buy a wood inlay small sebenza and you will not want another. :)

Those `benzas get better with age. The little character marks look, to me, just beautiful. Just wait until some pocket wear "polishes" all the edges a bit... :)
