Liked it more than I realized

I rarely end up giving away a knife that I like unless I have more than one of them. But recently I surprised myself. I have a buddy in the north who shoots coyotes and skins out the hides, for sale. I think that he uses a 220 Swift to reach out and tap them. He told me that he used it on a crow or Raven once in his back yard, and he blew it apart. Anyway, a while back I sent him a box full of Mora's for himself and his two sons. I don't remember if I put any other folders in the box other than a Finn Wolf. But that definitely went. Maybe it stands out because I appreciated it more after it was gone. So today I ordered a couple of little folders and one is a blaze orange F. W. Have you ever given away and re bought later, realizing after that you had a good one in hand once ?

I haven't given away anything I regretted later, but the Finn Wolf is a home run from CS. It is a perfect application for the Triad lock, inexpensive steel as a folding bushcraft knife. I hope 2021 yields some pleasant designs that fill an empty niche.

yes. a Buck brahma. didnt like the sheath it came in so gave to a friend thinking if I changed my mind I could get another, then they discontinued them and I missed on grabbing another. after market is crazy high and round same time as discontinued the map pricing came into play. I have a new found appreciation for stacked leather handles nowadays. too bad for me though. that's life.

now since we are talking cold steel...no. reason being is they discontinue stuff too often and everything I've gotten I like, so I wont give any away....id prefer to buy someone their own since they disappear quickly when they cut them loose. also map pricing in play now and the bargains aren't there like they used to be. so replacement will cost me much more if still available.

I gave away a Recon 1 tanto to a friend who admired it. It was the CTS XHP steel with the super grippy G10 handle. I almost immediately regretted it, bought a new one the next day, S35VN steel and less grippy G10 handle. Wish they still had the XHP and grippy handles.
