I've liked the Sod Buster pattern from the first time that I saw one. However, it's always been a bigger knife than I would want to carry. Solution: How about a little Sod Buster? I took a piece of cable damascus that I had laying around and came up with this knife. It's about two thirds the size of the original sod busters. It has nickel silver liners and pins, O1 back spring, and black linen micarta. It's overall length is 5 3/4 inches opened and 3 1/4 inches closed. This may end up being my "Knife In The Hat" knife unless I decide to make another one in O1. -chris

I like the way your cable turned out mine does not get so vertical to the back edge. I folded a piece too many times a couple of weeks ago and the pattern disapeared all together.

Do you just twist it up tight then flattern it?

That's nice work Chris. I like the way you, or the original designer, drops the ricasso below the edge.

Very nice work! There is just something about a clean simple knife that is appealing. Not that there's anything simple about a folder:D
