Well maybe not flames, but it sure will throw some sparks and embers!
Watching 2 ton epoxy dry is not very productive so while I had some handle scales curing today I whipped out this little sucker.

It has double 1/4" Mish-metal rods, and they are pinned in with SS pin and thong tube, and also epoxied.

Its going to ride with an Orange G10 and Carbon Fiber handled frog sticker Im working on..

BTW Storl, Im STILL waiting on my bud..:o

Sorry for the crap pics..

that thing is cool Trace... i love the double barrel action... i bet it throws some mean embers...

That is cool. If I didn't have sparky things coming out of my posterior at this moment, I would snatch one of them up. Great idea. :)

I know Pitdog could sure use one of those.

Very cool Trace.

Is there any flex between the two rods? How did you pin both of the rods with just one pin or am I missing something?

I really like the way you designed it.

The rods are epoxied and pressed into thier holes. They sit very close to each other but are a bit apart. I drill the hole and it cuts into both rods and make a dishout area.. The pin is pressed and flared as well as epoxied and fits in between the dished out area's of both rods. The rods are sunk well passed the pin, and once its all together the rods cant ever come out.
I hope that makes some sense..:o

There is a bit of flex in the rods but the mish metal rods are not very brittle and flex well. You can touch the two rods together easily with no damage. The rods are suprisingly tough, and I "think" regular ferro rods are much more brittle, and prone to snapping, chipping etc.. Just my opinion.

Protourist that is HILLARIOUS!! Man talk about using your gear..

BTW heres the shank thats going with it. Still in the works of course
