This is one of those it started out as a bowie knives, that im kinda glad I screwed up the initial grind on, cause after reprofiling, it turned out better than I had anticipated.

The specs are forged W2, 8 1/2'' o.a., balade is 3 5/8'' tip to guard, and 1 1/8'' wide.

The blade was clay quenched, and has a pretty simple hamon. The guard was made from (3/8'') 304 stainless.

The handle is I think either white tail or mule deer.....not sure, I dont gererally use white tail, but do have some, so it's kinda a toss up, either way i liked it cause it had character to it. The sheath is hand sewn and tooled.

Very nice!

It looks like the stag handle would fit in your hand very well.

thanks keith,lorien,

kyle

it does fit very well, thats really the only reason i used it, well that and it was very imperfect, kind of a piece of crap as far as antler goes but i think the natural flaws added character, even if the pics dont show it.
:D
