You guys are probably getting tired of seeing this Lil Ness but I'm loving it. It's been a long week at work and I decided to treat myself to a little venison backstrap from the buck I shot this past deer season. Not sure how I waited this long but this is the first bit of the backstrap that I have had so far.

Weather was finally gorgeous so I spent the evening outside tending a fire, drinking cold beer and enjoying fine piece of cutlery.

Just pulled from the kamado...

Sliced - medium rare perfection!

Thank you for all the post and sharing the pics. I truly enjoy these type threads. This is the major reason I make knives and strive to improve. Seeing my knives in use creates a personal high and sense of accomplishment. Thank you!

Thanks! It's a Vision Classic, I've had it going on 2 years now and am really enjoying it. It has all but rendered my Webers (all 5 of them) useless. Efficient and incredibly flexible - I can go low and slow for hours on end or get a ripping 900+ degree fire in no time.

Thanks Allen! There will be plenty more where these came from. Looking forward to getting some leather for it so I can start carrying it. I also look forward to picking up one of your Matador's and putting it to work in the kitchen. I think it looks like a great blade for breaking down big 'ol chunks of meat.

ive read good reviews of those on kamadoguru and other sites

I scored a killer deal on it when I bought it - picked it up for $249 at our local Sam's. For that price I should have bought every one they had! I really couldn't be happier with it. I've used it a ton over the last two years cooking in everything from -10 below to hot mid-summer temps. It's easy to get up to temp and once it is there it holds it.
