Lil' Temperance and Bodycote service

I'm thinking of sending off the trailing point Lil' Temperance to have Bodycote apply the chromium & boron carbide coating to the blade. Anything I should know about CPM-440V and chromium/boron carbide compatibility before I have the service done?

Depending on cost, I might send off the Ayoob and a BM 710BT also.
 
V-1 check out Pistolsmith.com. Check under the Custom Makers and Finishes forums. Plenty of info on Bodycote and Boron carbide.
 
Sounds good. Should give me some idea about the hardware, spacers and clip. Thanks for the info.

Hurry up and do it, so you can post some pics! ;) A green handle with a black blade has always been my favorite color scheme.
 
I wonder what the black will look like contrasting w/ the green? I'm going to try to get as polished of a BC blade finish as I can get. I wonder how I should prep the surface of the blade and clip before the coating? I'll have to do some research.

Oh yeah, I'm aware that this will void the warranty on my trailing point Lil' Temperance.
 
V-1 I think Dane Burns of BCP actually hard chromed a couple of pistols before he had the Boron carbide applied. Did you check out some of the threads at Pistolsmith.com?
