Lil' Temperance differences

Hello

I have a love of flat grind leaf blades such as the Manix and Lil T - also the Millies. I bought an S30V model Lil' Temperance and then later, because I liked it so much for cutting and slicing, got another.

My second is the older model with 440V steel. I see that there is a slight difference in the lockbar and pins, but can anyone tell me of any other differences?

I am interested in knowing if it has the same structure strength, etc. Basically, what were the improvements on the newer model

Thanks

Mark

I cannot tell you about comparative strengths, but my original leaf blade Li'l Temperance is built like a tank and will take anything that you throw at it. It is easily as tough as the Chinook. BTW, the knife is MBC rated.

Thanks.

Both are smooth, although the S30V would be slightly slicker. A very dependable knife. I am trying it as my edc for a while to see how it compares with the smaller Manix. Looking good so far.

The only notable change is that I was in the habit of using my index finger as a stopper on the ricasso. This wouldn't be advisable with a Lil' Temperance :foot:

There are features I already like, such as the cutting edge going the full way into the handle. In the kitchen this is especially useful and clean. The grip and ergos are great for me. I am pleased with it. I can only add my support for the upcoming new version ;)

Cheers,

Mark

440V is not only a bear to sharpen it doesn't even hold an edge as good as S30V does. I do have a "rhino horn" version of the little T in 440V. I love the trailing point ( rhino horn) variation of the little T but If I find me a trailing point in S30V the 440V is going to be traded or sold on Ebay. I have not been able to find a Rhino in S30V and I have not been able to find a rhino in the serrated edge version either. Am I alone in my pursuits?

I sure wish someone would tell me where to get those I mentioned. LONG LIVE THE lil T:thumbup:
