Hi, I have decided to track down a Lil' temp, and was curious, if anyone has opinions as to which is prefered, the leaf or trail point blade. Both look interesting, the leaf looks maybe more utility oriented where the trail point looks maybe more self defense? It seems like the leaf is easier to find for sale at dealerships where the trail looks like its easier to find for sale by preivious owners. Is the trail not as well liked? Thanks!
P.s. any side by side comparison pics out there?

Well, in the end what does it matter? I 'll just wait for the new release anyway. and who knows, it may have a totally different apearance! :D

Haven't gotten one in my grubby little hands yet, but I would guess the trailing point makes the overall package a bit slimmer - super wide spidies ala the Dodo tend to hang up in my pockets, especially jeans.

Anybody have actual experience?

I personally like the "trailing point". Both knives are just simply super but the trailing point is kind of like a "little bowie" in a lot of ways. I have personally been looking for an S30V trailing point Lil' T with a fully serrated blade. Anyone knows where I can find one I would fully appreciate it.

You can not go wrong with the Lil' T with either blade variety. It is probably one of the strongest knives Spyderco ever made. The only 2 that I can compare them too are the Spyderco CHinook II & the Manix.

Indeed. The trail point could be compared to the Chinook, and the leaf to the Manix. :D

the trailing point lil'T really looks cute. But firstly it's tip is not as strong as the leaf blade, secondly it doesn't seem to have much advantage in stabbing compared with the leaf, and I am not a big fan of so called "back slash" technique, so I prefer the leaf over trailing.

Hello,
I've got both, and I like the Leaf Point a little better. The lock's a little tighter, the G-10's grippier, and the clip's a little better.
The point on the Trailing Point is just a tad too high for the knife.

They're are both great knives, but I carry the LP more.
