What changes might be maid to the lil' temperance besides the steel?
Sal refered to the current model as a test run . . .

I would hope the handle could be made to a more OD color, the steel be s30v, and the blade length be increased a little.

Thanks,

Fisherman

With due respect to your wishes, Fisherman, I hope they don't increase the blade length. A blade of just under 3" makes carry legal in many jurisdictions where a longer blade wouldn't be.

Johnny

The only changes I’ve seen mentioned are the handle becoming either blue or dessert tan and the blade steel changed to S30V. The Temperance folder in general is tested with different materials to get an idea of how those materials would work in different folders.

S30V costs less than S60V (440V) and is easier to work with when producing the blade. It does give up edge holding ability to S60V by a small amount. On the other hand if Spyderco can harden the new steel to a higher level than they do with S60V we will have a gain in performance. Spyderco could harden the current S60V to a higher level and make this kid very happy!

Thanx Roguesoul. We also have some BG-42 that will find it's way into the Lil' Temperance in the future. Our first problem is to increase production.

Hey Fisherman. The model was designed to be a heavy duty 3" folder. At this time, we have no plans to make a larger one. The Salsa could probably be considered a smaller one.

Thanks guys,

I think those changes will force me to buy one! Even though I would like to see a new large knife (with all the latest and greatest), I can see that the Lil' Temperance would not be benefited by an increased size.

Sal, I thought you said something about unpolished CF handles?
