This is "pickey" of me I know, but will Spyderco by chance
offer an alternate clip for the Lil Temperance? The clip
eats up my pockets.
Before I say anymore, I do love the Lil Temp. This is my
first big folder and it does all I want it to and more.
I like the flat type clips. Any chance of a flat clip offered?
 
There's nothing in the cards. However I have found the Lil Temperance clip does no damage to my pockets compared to the standard 3 screw clips.

There have been posts on the forum describing how the pocket-eating tendency was improved after the Lil T. owner removed the clip and smoothed the two "rails" that touch the pants. Also, if your clip is pressing very tightly against your pants, while the clip is removed you can bend it slightly so it's not quite as tight.
