Being a relative newcomer to Spyderco knives, I am like a kid in a candy store reading about them and checking them out. Anyway, my request is for information on the Lil' Temperance. From what I've read it seems like an awesome knife (especially as I am partial to a 3" blade). Any information that could be provided in regards to lock strength, cutting ability, ease of carry, etc., or just stories concerning the use of this knife would be greatly appreciated. I would like to make an informed decision on whether to buy this "little pit bull" as I have heard it described. Thank you in advance for your input.

Well, the Lil'T is maybe one of the best knives Spyderco conceived so far. It's designed by pappa Spyder himself and this tells a lot.
It has a compression lock, MBC rated, that means is one of the strongest locks available worldwide. The blade (coming in two shapes at your choice, spearpoint or bowie) is full flat ground, which is my favorite. The steel is CPM 440V, to be replaced with the S30V.
The handles is G-10, with a left/right tip up/down carry :) Both the handles and the clip have indexing divots(holes) for MBC (and not only) ;)
Though it may have a peculiar look, and some consider it ugly, it's cutting power was never questioned, nor its ergonomics or endurance.

I have been carrying my LT leaf for 3 months now. All those adjectives and statements "tank" "pit bull" "ergonomic" "bigger than it seems" "comfortable" blah blah blah. They are all true. This is a *real* hard use knife. Well, as hard use as one can get in a folder, anyway. Awesome cutter, rock solid lockup, you cannot unlatch it with any grip, comfortable grip...

It rides fine clipped in my pocket, though it is a tad wide to get the wallet out easily.

I carry mine LHS tip down and it is as convenient as RHS tip down (for those who are lefties). One error I noticed, the clip is only on the RHS, not LHS, but it can be adjusted tip up or tip down.

It took me a while to find a spearpoint version of the Li'l T, but when I did, man, it is one great knife. I frequently carry it rather than my all-time favorite StarMate since the StarMate is now discontinued and I would die if I lost it. The Li'l T, at 3" rather than the Star<ate's 3 3/4", will do just about anything tha the StarMate will do and I prefer the Compression Lock to the Liner Lock, even if the Liner Lock has Spydie's adjustable pivot, but not by a whole lot. I carry my Li'l T tip down, as that is the only sensible way to carry a knife, IMNSHO, since I value my fingers too much to carry it tip up. The clip on the older ones is a bit of a problem since it eats pockets, but I loosened mine a tiny bit and have had no trouble since. With that mod, I recommend the Li'l T to anyone with a need for a rock solid 3" knife.
