Hello i'm new to this site so please bare with me.
I need help im not a knife guy
Last week a close friend of mine gifted me with a LILE "The Mission" Rambo Knife, it is the non-numbered version and no "Dot" is present above the LILE name. My friend purchased the knife direct from the LILE Knifeworks in 1986/87? and it is complete with the matching black leather sheath from Johnson's Leather of Casselberry, Florida. My friend informed me that the knife originally came with a Certificate of Autheticity but that this paper was destroyed years ago when his basement flooded. The knife is in excellent, unused condition other than some marks of it going in and out of the sheath. Is their anyway to certify it is a true LILE "The Mission" Rambo knife, not a cheap imported reproduction My friend said he paid around $800 for it when he bought it. Prices are all over the place on the Net.

Hi Adam,

Welcome to the forum. I'd contact Miles Welze. He knows a lot about Lile knives. You can find his website with a simple internet search.

Sounds like a great knife. Please post pics when available.

Wow! That is a very nice gift, Adam. As you are probably aware, your knife was made before Mr. Lile's death, which is more desirable to collectors. There is one just like it on a very popular auction site right now - although it is being sold with a Lile Rambo boot knife.

Anyway, enjoy your knife. It's one to be proud of, for sure.

He's not asking what it's worth, he's asking if someone can help him verify that it's real...

He did ask what it was worth. You are a couple hours late to the party. And then he edited the post a couple hours after he made it. Which is cool.

Thank you for editing your post to be in line with the rules.
