Limit on photos in a post.

I was wondering if there could be a limit of photos in a thread. While looking through threads it can take some time as the photos come up. I imagine that too many photos can take up quite a bit of storage. If you are a registered member one photo per post and depending on membership a limit on photos per post. Just a suggestion.
 
There is a limit...75 per post lol. I hit it once in a sales post with about 13 different knives.
 
Drives me nuts when I have to take moderator action in a thread with lots of big pictures. :eek:

But Bladeforums policy, especially in the Exchange, is the more, the better. This is, after all, a visual medium. Relax and enjoy the information overload! :D
 
There is one particular member guilty of posting the same 47 pictures over and over and over.........
What is really fun is when a new guy, or a couple new guys, keep quoting those posts to add the very necessary 👍🏽!!
Cue the blood pressure Meds!!!

I enjoy looking at the pics, but I realize some peoples internet is slower or they have usage limits. One of them things where you can't please everyone.

I know what you are referring to exactly.
 
His name starts with a p and ends in a t. It is a pain scrolling through the threads he posts in. Then add the 4 people who quote him.. Nope I just close out and go to another thread.
 
There used to be a recommended size, I usually do 1200X800 or something like that, good enough for a crisp pic but not so big it takes forever to load. I will admit to postin' a few hi res pics because they were worth it but not generally my norm.

Some folks forget that with some phones havin' cameras with resolution right up there with dlsr cameras they forget to size down their pics before postin' 'em.
 
Just for the record Ted, I have never seen you post 11teen pics of homemade wood shivs, knives with 8 industrial zip ties or a chintzy garrote......unless I missed those!!!

Ah, yours was the final clue, Chris. That and Joe's reference to the zip ties. For what it's worth, I've had some cordial correspondence with the guy, he is an enthusiastic member, and I'm sure he means well. We could stand to not to see the same pics all the time, though, and have them be considerably smaller.

I always limit my larger dimension to 1040. Perhaps the standards are different on the other side of the pond.
