What exactly are these things? Never heard of em before. And not surprisingly, I spent 15 bouncing around their forum and still haven't a clue.

They're guns. Or are you talking about the LEGP part? Basically, AR15 has a forum firearm each year, with an AR15.com logo, just as we have BladeForums.com knives.

I guess I misunderstood about the 1911; it's happening next week, not next year. It's a CA-legal Springfield Armory "Custom Loaded" full-size .45 1911 PX9109L, with engraving yet to be determined.
