So, I found out about this knife a month or so ago, and I was seriously drooling over it for awhile. Wasn't in-stock anywhere and didn't seem like it was going to be, so I just decided to forget about it. The other day, I was searching on KC and all of a sudden I spotted this thing in-stock. Couldn't believe it so I immediately ordered it, and here it is. This is my first Benchmade. It's the 2012 SHOT show exclusive LE Mini-Onslaught 746-1201. Carbon fiber, anodized aluminum(I think) spacers, D2 blade steel, etc. It's a real beauty. I'd like to start off by saying that the pictures I've seen on the internet did NOT show this knife how it really looks. It says "satin" finish, but it's not satin at all in my eyes. Looks more of a...beadblasted/sandblasted or something like that. It's alot darker than a satin finish. The colors of the carbon fiber and whatnot are totally different from the pictures aswell. First off, I'd like to say that apparently Benchmade -really- knows how to make a knife that fits your hand. The ergonomics on this thing fit my hand so well it was unreal. I hate to say it, but I honestly think it feels better than my PM2. Not having a choil or jimping on the top isn't good for me, though. Just my preferences. Either way, this thing feels great in the hand. If anyone has a used one of the regular Mini-Onslaught they want to sell, definately let me know because I think this makes a great EDC knife.

Anyways, on to what you guys really came here for. I think I covered everything I wanted to. Sorry for the bad photo quality, shadows, etc. I was at work when taking these.

Not the best pictures. I -love- that CF and blue spacers. Just looks beautiful. #68 of 500. Enjoy, guys.

That's a beauty. Congrats!

Thanks, man. I'm really happy with it. I'm definately going to try and snag a normal one on the market to introduce to my EDC rotation. I wanted to take some shots of it in my hand to try to really show how well it fits, but I failed.

That knife appeals to me alot. My cabelas has it and I drool everytime I look at it. Says alot if it can kick your para 2 out of your pocket! More of a slicer than the para, correct?

Havn't used it yet, but I do think it may out-slice the Para 2. That's saying something. The blade shape is great on it, which helps with the slicing and then coupled with the ergonomics of the handle. Yeah, I think it could out-slice the Para 2. The Para 2 just doesn't really have smooth edges. You can feel the edges of the G10 when you really use the knife alot. This Mini-Onslaught just makes you wrap your hand around it comfortably. I don't want to use this one, I'm saving it for when my son gets of age. I want to by myself a user one.

Really good-looking knife. I just wish the blade would be polished.

I have one sitting on my office desk right now. The knife is incredible. The blade is a dull gray, but I think it goes well with the Carbon fiber handles. I am now looking to get just a normal version since this one fits my hand so well. (it is said that when you find something you love, get at least 2 or 3 of them, because when they are gone they are gone) It is indeed an incredible slicer. I have found cigars to be an incredible test for a knife, because it is rough on the edge and it takes a slim blade to cut through a cigar cleanly without tearing it. This knife easily topped all the rest by far, including the hollow ground large sebenza. I just wish the clip was a little more lowriding, but other then that the knife is awesome. Great ergos and great slicing blade, very, very thin flat grind. I love it.

Mine shipped yesterday. I'll have pics up here later this week.

Great price on this one too with D2, CF, and Ano.

Looks like Gold Class but in a Blue Box.

That's exactly what I said! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't a Gold box. I thought that maybe the website just had a misprint till I actually got the knife.

It really is a great knife. No wonder I never see the normal ones on the exchange.

I was in the same situation. I kept going back and forth on the knife. One day I was drooling over the Onslaught, and then the next day I'd tell myself there were more important knives on my list. I think the Mini Onslaught is underrated. This is seriously a great knife. I really can't explain how great these feel in your hand. I think the reason they don't have jimping is because they don't need it. It just fits that perfect in your grip.

Mine just came today, Its flawless. I haven't handled a BM gold class, but this is what I would imagine it would be like.

The carbon fiber is stunning, the pattern is quite visually pleasing. Even though it lacks texture, I enjoy the look. The blue spacers add a great touch, and are very vibrant, a nice change from the overall gray/silver look of the knife. The coating is great, and the hardware? Best color matching I have ever seen, all screws match up with the pocket clip, creating a brilliant coordination that brings everything together.

Well worth the $$$, good job Benchmade

Yup, definitely worth the price! I like it better then my gold class Griptillian. The only thing about the griptillian that was better was the M4 steel.

I have one of these on the way also. I've never handled the Onslaught, nor the Mini. I do love Lum designs though and think this is one beautiful knife.

Nice OpKey
Yours is right in front of mine by 4 numbers yours 68 mine 72
I got some nice sunlight shots of the carbon fiber and the D2 blade blends really good with it..
