I stumbled across someone with a "Limited Edition BK10" which they claimed that ...

"This knife was one of around 300 that Kabar BK&T made when they bought out Camillus,
they had some of these blanks so they put their stamp on them and stonewashed the blade.

Wouldn't something like an annual "Limited Edition" or "Sprint Run" of a selected model be a great gift or collector item?

It wouldn't have to be anything exotic, say, stonewashed/blackwashed instead of coated, unique micarta scales, different sheath (color or material), and etched with # of #00 and maybe Ethan's signature.

Sounds good to me

well, it was good and bad...

good that it was initially limited to beckheads only, to honor them

quite a few of those people sold the blades for a profit. good for them :D

it's also led to some interesting confusion

you wouldn't believe how many people complained how expensive it was, even though it contained all the bells and whistles

it was a great showing from Toooj Meister and the John Stittserson. not as appreciated as one would think?

but they sold a few pretty fast, so that was something.

who knows, could happen again

low96hb has one. He's BeckerHead #80something. It's quite nice. I'll tell him to post some pics of it here.

An annual special edition would be a lot of fun - I was one of the lucky few to get in on the BK10 special edition - and I enjoyed the bell, and whistle!

I de-ramped mine and made it even specialer. I may hire Terrio to jimp everything in sight here.
