I got a chaparral which im assuming is limited edition it has a 003 on the blade anyone able to tell me what that means or know more about it? is it 3rd ever made? is it worth significantly more?

Thanks

It's not limited in any way. The number designates the collector club member. There are 200 slots in the club so each new model will have some that are numbered. As for value personally I feel it detracts slightly unless you can say hade a complete set of that model with the same number.

It is a Spyderco Collector Club version. I think up to 200 are numbered. It is debatable if it is worth more but I think general consensus is that it might add a slight value to the right person but not much.

If you'd like to sell it put an ad in the exchange. Mentioning it here is not appropriate. I suggest you edit that out.

rarely does the CC# add any value
True, although it may do so in the future on some models. Some of the recent fakes are disturbingly hard to spot and a CC# is pretty damn good insurance that the knife being bought or sold is a genuine Spyderco.
