A new Limited Edition quartet of all black ENER-G's should be hitting the streets at any time. A Black DLC coating and fine textured G-10 scales highlight the changes. Blade steel is 13C26.

Final production numbers are as follows:

1740BLK - 366 pieces
1740BLKST - 273 pieces
1745BLK - 377 pieces
1745BLKST - 290 pieces

Great looking functional low volume flippers.

i know im in for a large and a small PE. although serrations are a nice touch for variation i think ill let them stick to their pocket scalpel design only this time its ninja scalpels :D

Now that's my kind of Ener-G! Thanks, Thomas, for the heads up!

Ray :)

Are you sure thats not for the regular version? It descibes it as having black g10 handles with trac tec inserts. Even kershaws website lists the regular Ener-g as having black textured g10.
That's what I thought, too, except the model numbers jive with those in Thomas' post. They must have simply taken the ad copy for the standard model, since it also says "satin" blade finish.

Anti, the link says Kershaw 1740BLK. That would be for the smaller plain edge mentioned here. However, they still haven't gotten the name right (it's ENER-G, NOT NRG!), so who knows what they're offering!

Oops, I stand corrected. I didnt even pay attention to the model number, I was just looking at the description. Yeah I have noticed that most sites list them as NRG.
