I didn't start a thread to bash any manufacturer. I just read another thread about a knife chopper getting damaged after using it on a hardwood. So I started a new thread with some points regarding from the previous one that I read, I started that thread because my knowledge is limited when it comes to knives and I want to have a further wisdom regarding knives.

Now that thread is closed. What happened to freedom of speech? Aren't we in America?

There's no freedom of speech on a private forum, you should report your post here and ask it to be moved to service and support, it has nothing to do with knives.

Check again.....your thread is not closed. Never was.
And Skimo is right. On a Privately owned forum you have no right to freedom of speech.

Freedom of speech doesn't apply to privately owned forums. The owner of this site and his agents (mods/admins) can open or close any thread that they choose. It is their site. We are guests. Freedom of speech doesn't mean what you think it means. ;)

Second, I would strongly suggest that you discuss this issue with the mod in question privately. My experience with most of them is that they will gladly discuss your concern. But airing dirty laundry like this is never a good idea and often ends poorly. Just a suggestion.

Best of luck. I hope you get your issue ironed out. :)

One other thing to note, if a topic goes significantly off topic and mods have to repeatedly steer it back on course, it can and may get closed. Threads and posts that violate the overall guidelines/rules for the subforums they are located are also subject to being closed if the is no productive discussion taking place. We like to hear opinions, stories, and if there is a legitimate complaint and it snowballs into a bashathon with trolling and other unwelcome behavior, again it can get closed.
