Awesome!

I have never seen those are they pretty hard to find?

What year were those made?

Nice pics Jules, thanks for posting.

Can you give us more info on this knife? I've also never seen this before.

Kind regards,

Jos

Here's a found/borrowed pic of the original ads. I believe ...LDC was the name Les Robertson and Bob Neal gave to a line of limited edition knives they had made by a group of knifemakers make years ago, maybe 1999 or 2000. The group of well known knifemakers made 50 of each of their designs. Each knife was numbered up to 50. This is about all the info I have on them. If any one of the Sebbie elders can add more, please do.

Jules

They weren't released in 1999 or 2000. I had one of each. . . . the LDC-9 (#5-50) was born 17 Dec 96 and the LDC-109 (#42-50) on 12 Nov 97.

Very cool !

ETA: Les had a number of the LDC-109's blades coated (it was either 5 or 10) and the coating was applied after they left CRK and in Les' possesstion.

Pic ? :D

The info on the LDC line of knives is no longer on Les' website. . . .but I remember copying and transferring the info into a .doc.

LDC Custom Knives is owned and operated by Bob Neal and Les Robertson. The LDC line of knives was developed in response to our customers' requests. The novice custom knife buyer wanted a quality combat folder obtainable in a timely manner and at a fair price. The veteran collector wanted the aforementioned qualities, but also required the added value of collectability. With over 23 years experience in custom knives, Bob & Les formed LDC Custom Knives to fill this void in the custom combat cutlery market. The knife makers selected to create the "Tactical Ten" were chosen for the quality of their work and their experience in the field.

Unlike any other line of custom knives, these offer instant collectability. Exactly how is this instant collectability achieved? The LDC Custom Knives provide the following features:

1) Rare: This is the first time a set of custom knives like this has been offered.

2) Limited: Each LDC knife design is limited to 50 serial numbered knives.

3) Unique: With each design we have incorporated a feature or style element that is unusual to each of these well-known makers.

4) Exclusive: LDC exclusively created each LDC knife design. These designs and knives are only available through LDC Custom Knives.

5) Quality: No matter what form it takes, quality is always in demand.

Great pictures and information. Those LDC Sebenzas are worth a lot of money. I've seen a set of matched numbers listed for $2200.00 or $2400.00 at a past show in the last year or year in half. I was unaware that they were so desirable (priceless). Going by the table they caught my eye with the straight grooves. I asked, and the seller told me the price and some brief history about them. I wonder what the complete set of all the LDC's would be worth?

Thanks for posting and sharing the information. Fine collection westllen:thumbup: I would love to see your entire Chris Reeves Collection one day.

Cheers,
Anthony

I just picked up a LDC 104-04 By Jim Minnick, did a search here but came to this thread only accidentally . Way to find more info?
