I learned last month that Buck does [or, did]sometimes make limited, special production runs from left-over parts. The Buck Classic, for example, was produced with blades from 110s for a while.

Will Buck consider making the same type of run to produce however many 532s they can scrape together?

I will send my check now!

WinDancer,

Buck doesn't have to look to left over parts at all. They still have the original manufacturing tooling for use in producing the 532. Recall several months ago the special run of 500 in walnut handles for a european distributor (532-EU-O)?

WinDancer,

Again, we are considering the 532 as a limited edition model for 2000. For now, we are down to zero on many of the component part inventories. In fact, I had a bit of a hard time scraping together enough pieces to make marketing samples, and photo samples for our catalog.

I joke with our New Products team that for photo samples, only one-half of a knife is necessary - we may end up doing that. :-)

When we built those knives, they didn't hang around long.
