"Old Scout" certainly conjours up warm memories of spending time with Grampa and him letting you handle his favourite knife - the first knife you'd ever been allowed to handle, or maybe one your Dad always had with him.
George's vintage "Old Scout" has had some changes. In keeping with the time the bolsters are now going to be 304S/S along with the pin and thong tube.
The blade will still be 440C mirror polished, Rc 56-58 cryo treated for enhanced edge holding. Just because it's a vintage style does not mean that the reliability and durability of today not be there.
The handle will be high resign Cocobolo as it does withstand our weather changes far better than local woods and over time the colour changes to a beautiful deep Rosewood.
8/9oz veg tanned dyed dark mahogany leather is used for the waterformed, pouch style, hand stitched sheath, c/w belt loop.
This vintage numbered series knife will run until early spring of 2010. The first 25 people to order between now and Christmas 2009 will be able to take advantage of the 15% special offer.
