Lin asked me to post a picture for him because he has been having issues getting pictures to post on this forum.
I will let Lin give the details, but having held this knife I can say how great it is.

Enjoy Chris

I saw this recently on another forum and think it may be my favorite of Lin's. Very nice Rowe Pin-Lock sheath too.
One of those pieces where everyting just ties together so nicely.

I have received infractions for commenting honestly on knives like this, so I will contain my enthusiasm in order to maintain decorum.
With that being said; @#*% YEAH!

The knife is very nice as I would expect from Lin but the appliqué on the butt cap really sets off for me. well done Lin

Looking forward to seeing Lin's comments and the details on this knife.

Oh . . . and another fine picture by Chuck. I do love that burgundy (or is it merlot?) background.

I'd love the details as well, but the awesomeness is obvious. Terrific bowie Lin!

Thanks for posting my knife Chris.

This blade is a some of DHIII's W-2 which is awesome stuff. A while back I took a round of that and rough forged it into a rectangle with the power hammer with no particular plans. I later took it to work for a day of forging in the coal forge. I decided to use it for a demonstration for the day and started forging it out into this blade. It turned out much bigger than I planned but I was very careful keeping it straight and controlling the heat on such a big blade. 12 inches, btw.

The handle is a piece of Stag that I bought a couple of Blade Shows back knowing it would have to be the "right" knife for it to work with. This blade kept calling for that piece of Stag. I knew it would be a frontier looking knife, which is what I wanted and I really like the way it turned out. It cuts exceptionally well, as you might imagine with the steel used. I call it the Frontier Bowe. Unless it finds a home in the mean time, it's tuck away in the safe awaiting the Arkansas Show.

Cody Rowe really done a nice job with the sheath for me. He listens to my picky ways about curves and such, so I have to credit him with that.

Thanks

AWESOME as Lin's knives have been for a while now!

The combination of the guard/spacers and pommel, work well with the stag.

I love that handle! but then I have a major weakness for the burnt antler. The flower and the guard are sweet. It's like something one of the founding father's would have commissioned on their trip to France.

I was lucky enough to handle this one in person and man it was beautiful. Great job, Lin!

Just spectacular! This is what Bowie collecting is all about. A piece that would rival any of the best current creations and at the same time conjur up daydreams of the past.
