Something I like about this knife is no one piece of it stands out to me except, perhaps the damascus. No mammoth ivory, no mosaic pins or engraving. But looking at the entire knife as a package I really like it. Modern and elegant. The whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts here!

I would have a lot of trouble tackling the firewood pile with this one, but man, I sure do love how it turned out! Awesome camp knife, Lin. Congrats on the award and Caleb's image really shows it precise fit and finish.

Not normally a fan of Camp knives but this one would make it into the "art" knife category for me. Nice job Lin.

Such a cool knife, love the handle on this one.

Really awesome knife Lin. Well deserved award.

Unlike some here( ;) ), looking at the design, it begs to be used to me. I'd run to the firewood pile straight away and start hacking with it. Never been afraid to get a really nice knife dirty and scratched. But then again, I'm a bit uncouth. :D

I really like the composite image Caleb.

I was fortunate enough to look this one over carefully Friday nite. It was certainly my pic for the Best camp knife. Very comfortable in the hand.

Thanks Caleb for all the great images.
Glad to see you getting caught up a bit

Thank you gentlemen.

FYI, this is a take down handle. Here's a couple pictures.

It's actually a frame handle. This allowed me to get all the parts fit and ready before I glued the sides on to make it into a completed block.

Such a great camp knife and deserving of the award. Having had it in hand I can say that Caleb shows it off very nicely. One thing the images don't show is how much of a beast this beauty truly is. Wood piles don't stand a chance!

That is stunning, that deep royalty maroon micarta is really somethin else!! And those polished, domed pins really set it off. I think that small touch of bronze really pulls everthing together very nicely, and I love the wild damascus as well. I really enjoy seeing what you come up with Lin, you really step outside the box and have your own unique style (imho) . Of couse, Caleb's picture I'm sure does it every ounce of justice it deserves. Thanks for sharing guys! :)

that is one fine knife. The takedown frame handle just push it over the top. I think it is excellent in its refinement. thanks for showing the great pics, and the takedown.
