I made this knife two years ago and submitted it for the Mastersmith test. The owner recently had Linda Karst-Stone scrim the handle. As always, her work is magnificent. I just wanted to post it here to display her fine work.

Chuck Ward shot the photos.

Very nice bowie Steve, and the scrim really sets it off and enhances it without taking away from the clean looks of the knife.

Very nice!

I had an opportunity to handle this one and it was very nice!

Thanks for posting this Mr.Culver

Very nice bowie and the scrim adds a nice touch in my opinion.
Linda Karst Stone's work is always impressive.

Nice to see scrimshaw, especially from Linda. That looks great and I like how the owner chose to document the knife.

Thank you for the kind remarks about the knife.

The owner of the knife allowed me to have a good bit of input on the theme of the artwork that Linda put on the knife. It was great working with Linda on this project. I am honored to have her fine embellishments on one of my knives.

I agree with the above. That is outstanding work and really compliments the knife. Outstanding work Steve. Thanks for the showing.

Steve,

Good looking knife and beautifully scrimshawed by Linda, who is
a wonderful person and great artist too.

I know from Edmund Davidson that Linda loves the challenges
of working with direct imput and involvement from the maker
or collector.

Here is a recent collaboration between Edmund Davidson and
Linda Karst Stone, finished for and sold at the recent NY Show.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
