I got my first Linder a couple of months ago and I really like it. I know it's not a top of the line Bali, Spyderco etc. I've also been looking at some others that Linder makes and I see more that I like. But I never see anything about them here. Does anyone else like them? Or am I missing something?

The only Linder knife I have ever had the opportunity to use was a small bowie with a 440C blade. This was a pretty good knife. The finish was good and the knife worked well for the few tasks I put it to. It was a friends knife and I only used it a couple of times so I can't say how well the edge held.

Many of the Linder knives have 420 blades and I usually don't care for this steel.

Like many knife brands Linder markets nicer knives as well as more pedestrian fare. I've held on to one of these as long as I have any knife. The bolster is integral.

I have a stag Linder dagger, or I should say, "I had..." because my wife has taken this knife to be her letter opener. It's a very nice knife for the price.

I collect Linder nicker knives, been coolecting them for years. Bought my first Linder when I was stationed in Germany at Rheinamin AB in the late 80's (to the early 90's). They are the equivelant to buck and schrade. Unfortunatley they use alot of 420, but with a higher carbon content than american made 420. There is alot of junk 420 going "around the world" and unfortunatley it ends up on american knives and German sometimes (I wil not get into where that comes from). Linder knives are good quality. The steel is okay. I have one nicker that Ive been using for years and it has held up well. The rest and higher end ones I collect.

I've got some of there older carbon steel knives and really liked that "solingen steel". You don't generally see their whole product line most places. Here is a link to their website (notice that it is a .de not a .com). You'll notice they do have some higher end stuff and I like their table of stainless steels.
