What methods do ya'll to store fine line?

Personally, I'm putting SpiderWire and #69 black nylon in my kits either wound on sewing machine bobbins (use a variable speed drill) or in soda straws (the fat ones).

I use a nylon net-makers shuttle store line in my larger PSK belt pouch. They come in all sizes. Mac

Try wrapping several different types of line around a notched plastic card (used credit cards or phone cards are ideal). ;)

Cheers

I have a small pencil in my PSK. I chucked it in my drill, ran it at low speed, and wound 15-20 yards of spiderwire onto the pencil. Then tacked it down with a blob of hot glue.

what is this spiderwire you guys are talking about? I was about to ask the question earlier about what kind of wire you carry and this might just answer the question for me.

A really simple trick with fine line is to cut a strip of thin card and fold it into a 'V'. Put one end of the line inside the 'V' at the bottom then wind the line round the outside. The last bit can then be tucked between the two ends of card sticking up from the wrap. The tension of the wrapping holds the end in between the ends of card.

spyderwire is a type of fishing line brand name. i just carry some light 4lb, and heavy 50 lb fishing line for various uses.

I carry about 50 yards of 50 and 20 lb test line on a hand fishing handle. You can use line for almost anything.
