Hey guys!
I really like the look of lined pouches sheaths but had a couple questions about them. How well does the lining hold up in heavy use? what type of leather would you use for one? is there any videos or tutorials that show how to do them?(is that covered in the Paul Long videos?)
Thanks guys!

Daniel, to answer your question….yes it is covered in the DVDs.. I use Deer skin for pouch style sheath lining because it has sufficient stretch to go around the curved mouth with NO wrinkles. If the sheath has a straight mouth, then I use 2/3 oz veg. tan of the same color or contrast color since I don't have to navigate around any curves. This is for the "rolled top lining". If it's for just a plain flat lining, I cement the lining on the block cut pattern after installing snaps or Sam Browne studs and then cut the final pattern shape for clean smooth edges.
