Liner lock alignment pics?

Gotta believe that someone has posted this somewhere - but I would like to see some pics of what proper liner lock alignment would be? I know that all the way over or even mostly over to the opposite liner is bad -but I remember reading somewhere that it's actually desirable for a new liner lock to be fairly far off to the lock side initially to allow for future wear? Pics would be a big help.

This is pretty close to ideal. The liner is fully under the blade and the center of the liner is roughly in the first third. In fact I woudn't mind if the liner was even a fraction less engaged, as long as it is fully under the blade.

CF Mili, BG42. All around about as perfect as a production knife can come.

My BG-42 Millie's liner lock barely covers the edge of the blade. I'm guess it will move a little more toward center as I use. My S90V Millie's liner lock looks like the one in the photo above. Both are new and used very little so far. Thanks

What HoB said - about both liner and the BG42 Military.

Mine's just lightly less engaged (about the first quarter of the arc).

My older 440V Military started at about the same engagement point, but after long use it has worn to about the center of the arc.

Once the liner wears to about 3/4 of the way across the arc, it's quite possible that a shock such as a spine-whack will cause the arm to jump across the arc and jam the action.

Spyderco does a great job of fitting their liner-locks, with years of trouble-free use.

on all of my millies the liner engages like this - btw, this is the s90v version
