Liner lock concerns

I have two custom made liner lock folders, that when closed, have about .005" clearance between the liner and the blade. (a sheet of paper will barely slide thru)
My question is this:
Can I expect to have any problems in the future with the blade rubbing against the liner and scratching it, or is this about normal in a custom folder?
Thanks

Is the blade centered between the two liners?
When deploying the blade via thumb hole..stud or disc does the blade flex closer to the liner before the detent lets the blade go or is it pretty solid?
Where are you taking your measurment from,
With the blade in the closed position are you taking the measurment from the bolster end or the back end where the point of the blade would be.
If taken from the bolster end you should not have any problems as the detent is there to help keep the liner away from the blade during deployment.
If taken from the point end it all depends on the materal used for the spacers as some ware faster than others.

What you may be seeing is space provided by the thrust washer on each side of the blade. Many makers use a .005 washer on each side of the pivot. If thats the case it's normal.
