liner lock failure on my M18

Just a quick addendum to the above post. I have had a really good chance to examine the overalll construction of the M18 this weekend. It is indeed very good with one helluva sharp edge to the blade. The only real gripe I have and I think it is a big one is that the liner lock on this thing fails with just a slight downward blade on the blade against the lock. You can actually flex the blade against the lock and see the lock start to buckle a bit at the back of the blade and then it releases. When I am talking little pressure here I mean little pressure. With the LAWKS in place the knife blade does not close but seems to have little bit of blade play in the downward position and then the liner hits the LAWKS and it does what it is supposed to do. It seems the back of the blade is a bit more polished where it locks up against the liner or maybe to steeply beveled. I have a friend that is a tool maker that is going to look at the lock for me and maybe make one out of spring steel of better quality. Depends on what CRKT says and the vendor wants to do. It seeems I haven't had very good luck lately with vendor purchases. Out standing purchases from individuals though. Anyways the liner lock itself is very dangerous if the LAWKS is not engaged as my fnger will attest to when fiddling around with it. Keep'em sharp
