Liner Lock Hard to Close: Fix?

The blade of my new Byrd Crow (liner lock) is very hard to close if opened vigourously. It seems the little "leaf" of the liner that locks it up goes farther out (past the halfway point or centerline) and gets jammed in it's locked position. There isn't much "meat" to get ones thumb on when returning the lock and that adds to the problem. At times I have to get a tool (screwdriver tip) to push the lock (peice of the liner) back to release the blade. Even when I can do it by hand it makes a audible click when releasing. Is there a fix for this? Will it wear in? How hard are these to take apart and get back together?

I have a liner lock with similiar problem , only answer I can think of , aside from seeing if you can have it replaced is to not open it vigorously. :D
