I KNOW STAINLESS AND TITAINIUN ARE USED ALOT FOR LINER LOCK FOLDERS,
MY QUESTION IS HOW THICK OF MATERIAL DO YOU NEED AND WHAT KIND OF
STAINLESS SHOULD BE USED? THANKS!!!

I've had good luck with .040" thick 410 stainless steel. Its available from pretty much all the big knifemaking supply places in that thickness.
420SS is also popular, but you'll have to order from somplace like admiral and I don't think you can get anything more than .050" thick which will work just fine but most folks like really thick liners anymore.
I'd say with hardened and tempered steel you could go as thin as .040" but .060" or so would be better for larger folders. Titanium you want to stick with a little thicker, I think most folks don't like to go any less than .050" for it.
I've seen knives made with liners as thick as .10" but to me thats more of a framelock with overlays.
