I bought this knife couple weeks ago and although I tested the lock many times, today something weird happened.I opened the knife slowly and the liner lock moved all the way to right side and was stuck there.I unlocked it and noticed the liner lock gets stuck when you open the knife slowly in certain way.(I flick this knife and it locks normally.Could this problem exist because of blade centering, because the blade appears not centered, 2-3 mm on one side of pivot.Should I just center it,or something else is the problem. The knife is new and wasn't abused. This thing just happens when you open it real slowly.Normal openings and flicking don't cause this problem.I really like the knife, but this pissed me off.

I've had liner locks that would lock up later when opened slowly than when flicked open with force. My theory is that when flicked the blade rebounds off the stop pin (or thumb studs, if they act as the stop pin) slightly before the lock bar has a chance to move over all the way. Having said that, I haven't had one that moves all the way over to the opposite side. That's not cool on a brand new knife under any circumstance (imho). I'd personally send it back to wherever you got it from for replacement. You could mess around with trying to center the blade and make the lockup earlier, but you shouldn't have to, and once you start messing with it many places would be less likely to replace it.

If you do decide to mess with the centering and lockup yourself, however, these will help you out (I advocate using a folded wedge of paper rather than the allen key in the video to hold the blade in position):

I sharpened the blade on a stone already, and yes, its not cool for brand new blade to do this. Its almost like money thrown away!I never had any problems with my Spydercos, Benchmades, Cold steel and Buck knives.

Sharpening the blade might not be a big deal (as far as returning it) if you did so before realizing the lock problem. I wouldn't feel right sending back a knife that I knew had issues but had decided to sharpen anyway, so I'd try to fix it myself. In this case, though, it sounds like you discovered it after sharpening the blade, so you may be fine. Best advice I can give you at this point is to contact the seller and see what they say. If they won't work with you for some reason, contact Kizlyar US and see if you can get it looked at.

I checked the blade again , it has small left and right blade play and that's why the lock is disengaging.Ill try to tighten it , should be fixed, when I get the torx bits. When the blade is in center position the lock is at30-40% of lockup, should be fine with tightening.

I stripped couple screws while trying to center the blade. The screws are not heat treated , and assembled the knife again but couldn't center the blade. The knife is probably cheaply made in China(I have Spyderco Tenacious, but quality is very good). The only thing on this knife that is good is d2 blade.I never had these problems even with inexpensive Chinese knives, especially out of box, but since I reprofiled sharpened the knife and now strip couple of screws theres no point of contacting the company.

Well that blows. Sorry to hear it. :( I can't comment on the quality, as I don't yet own one, nor have I handled one. Afaik, the Biker is made in St. Petersburg, Russia, just like their other knives.
