liner lock problems

I just bought a microtech lcc d/a and the liner lock goes over 1/2 way almost 3/4 making very hard to close. Can I adjust this out or should I send it to microtec
 
Assuming that it's brand new...send it back, quick.
Don't touch it, or the warranty's gone.
My opinion.
