Liner lock question

I carried one of the original CQC7s for years and after a period of time the liner lock wore untill the lock would not stop about mid blade but would move all the way over to the other side of the pivot. It still locked but it bothered me. I thought this was a bit premature since this was titnaium against ats-34 and I thought it would take longer for this to happen. I am assuming that this happens to all liner lock knives? Do manufacturers repair this kind of thing?

Thanks

Dave

Yes this can be fixed...I sent my AFCK in for the same problem and BM fixed it for me no problem.

If you have one of the original CQC7's though they might not be able to fix it seeing at it's out of production now. E-mail or call them to find out. Maybe they would just replace it with a current knife of similar value..I dunno...

I would think that this happens to a good chunk of liner lock knives but not all. It depends in large part on how hard you're 'banging' your knives open. Of the 15 or so liners I have it's only happened to two of them.
