I'm going to heat color the Titanium and I need to set the ball detent.

This is a huge folder at about 9.25" long.  :D

I set the ball detent and it works very well! :D I have heard this part is tough and it will ruin the knife if not done correctly, I'm glad I got it right! I can hardly contain myself!

I heat colored it too, I'm very happy with how the heat coloring came out.

Really cool to hear!

I can put you on the list for sure! Bam you're on it! Here's the plan.

Sign up and when I show the final prototype foe the design we can work on custom options such as scales. I'll have a final price then and you will get your folder the way you want it!

Thanks again guys!

Great looking folder Dan,love the size of it.
That in hand custom shot made me chuckle, definitely a custom.

I will start selling stuff now. Do you think the wife will miss her car?

Thanks! Stonewash for sure! I stonewashed the liners before I heat colored them but only lightly, it makes them feel so nice in the hand.

I thought the action on the this knife was pretty good... now it is broken in and really smooth! I have a knife with IKBS (bearings instead of washers) and it is just as nice.

DO IT! hmmm missed out on the EDC I wanted.. maybe I'll catch one of these ;)

Hey dudesquatch, I know this is your prototype and all, but a couple of questions. Looks like either gaps, or shadows between the liners and scales. Is that edge rounding of the scale, or the scale standing proud of the liner? Just wondering if there was an issue going on there. I'm tempted to do one myself, but I have lots to learn before I start on one of these! As always, fantastic work.

I rounded the scales and liners a bit. I think the tumbling did it, it feels really nice that way but on any I sell they will be flush.

I wouldn't worry to much about flatness issues unless that is usually a problem for you. I used surface ground Titanium so that probably helped.

NICE job, Daniel!
Now let's make a frame-lock and don't forget the tanto version. :)
