I have a Knife blank coming that I’ll be making a set of scales for. I like the looks of having a liner on both sides and wondering what to use and where to source it.

thanks, Jim

G10 comes in a lot of colors. Micarta is a possibility. There is a sort of rubbery material I can't remember the name of. I use G10 almost exclusively, and I'm happy sourcing it from Alpha Knife Supply.

Thanks Keith....I'll check them out.

Since we are discussing liners here. Has anyone ever used stainless sheeting like they do in some handle constructions as liner material?

yes i have used stainless, copper, brass and nickel silver for liners. thin metal liners look great, but remember its really easy to get them too hot and the epoxy lets go. :) there is so little mass the heat travels quickly through them.
