Is there a recommended minimum thickness for the liner material on a liner lock knife?

Well, is it a liner lock with scales on both sides, a frame lock, a large tactical, a flipper, or a small gentleman's pocket knife with a 2 1/2" blade? Frank

In my shop I have set the "standards" as follows:

"Gent's" Folders: .040"
Mid sized (like my Progression folders): .050"
Larger sized folders: .060-.070
Frame locks and those with bearing type pivots: .090-.130"

There are specific needs based on the lock, pivot, and a number of other factors, and will vary based on the individual maker's perferences.

Liner lock with scales on both sides, not exceeding 3". Meant for a light weight and thin knife.
