Liner vs Botton lock. Bros and cons?

I prefer button locks as they don't require you to put your hand in the path of the blade while you close them. I've also started moving away from liner locks since I had one close on my hand (I was doing something stupid, but I still just can't shake the perception that they're not as strong as a lot of other options).

Either is fine with me.

Button or plunge lock-based folders are fewer compared to linerlocks and while they are simple and fast to operate, button locks require some time to break in for smoother opening and don't take kindly to wrist-flicking the blade out and are more sensitive to dust and lint buildup.

Linerlocks are IMO easier to maintain, and one-handed opening/closing is pretty fast though I have to be careful to keep my fingers away from the handle when closing the blade.

Both locks if properly made and used, maintained properly can work pretty fine for light work and EDC IMO.
