linerless soddie style slippie ?

Im working on a Damascus slippy patterned from a sodbuster jr.I drilled the blade pin hole to accept a cutlery rivet just like the Case soddie except i like n.s.Im wondering about going linerless using g-10.Will this work ok?What are the pros and cons?Im way new to folders.Ive ground and replaced some blades,but this is my first from scratch.What do you think?Thanks!

It will work fine.
The action will probably be smoother with some brass liners, though.
