Linerlock for Southpaw?

Sal -- since you've been releasing a lot of custom collaborations with linerlocks lately (as opposed to midlock), any chance of making some with the linerlock on the other side for us southpaws (ala BMs dedicated left hand models)?

I really like the reversible clips on your midlocks for it shows your concern for us lefties; but with your new linerlock folders does these mean you've forgotten us?

T: You may consider trying to find a Bob T. in left handed model. I had one, a great knife.

Titan, it was the old Bob T. I liked it so much, I got a Bob T custom, also lefthanded.

Titan, current plan is to move many linerlocks over to Rolling locks. Then it would be easier to make ambi models rather than a mirror tool-up. We're not confirmed on anything yet so I have to say that it is not impossible, just unlikely. Sorry

Sal - thanks for replying.

I'm very glad to know you'll be shifting to the safer Rolling lock. Even if your rolling locks are initially produced for right hand user, as a lefty this will give me more confidence in using it without much fear of an accidental blade release than that of a right-hand linerlock.

As JoeT often says, I would rather have a folder that is hard to unlock, than a folder that can easily unlock.

Of course, a left hand Rolling lock Spyderco custom collaboration folder would be like having my cake and eating it too!

I personally find the rolling lock (or slide lock?) on the Carnivore very easy to use, and I'm a lefty. It's pretty cool, and hellaciously strong. I much prefer it to a liner, any day of the week.

Spark, you have a point.

I have found that the R lock can be accessed by Lefties by using the middle finger.

One may want to keep an Eye out for my review of the Bob Kasper designed, Kevin Gentile modified AFCK and interview of Bob Kasper. Sorry about the wait, my review and interview should be online shortly, luckily Spark has graciously offered to do the pictures, look for it right here at BladeForums.com.

Spark and Marion -- thanks for the info. A R-lock Spyderco is now my No. 1 dream folder!
