Got the idea for this from a picture I seen of one online. Its used when trying to fit the lock to the blade. Completely adjustable with multiple holes for pivot and clamping screws. The pivot holes are for 3/16" and 1/8" pivots. It should adapt to any knife I try to make. Just thought I would share it.

cool tool, I dont have it all figured out yet, but it looks a bit like a block I made from mycarta to repair Victoenox knives.

I like it! It's pretty, too. Is there a way to put the blade on and take it off quickly, to check the fit without taking the liner off the jig? With a stop pin in place? Anyway, I may have to build something similar...

That's beautiful - I'm going to make something like it.

Do you happen to have plans drawn up for it that you'd be willing to share?

Glad you like it. I don't have any plans. But I will draw some and post them here for you.

Hope this helps and is not too messy. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Oh and I forgot that is 2" angle iron 1/4" thick.

Wow, that was fast!

Is there some plastic Delrin or HDPE underneath the base?

Also, is there a washer between the pieces of iron?

Thanks!

heres another picture of the pivot.

That is a really nicely built jig.
Posting a series of photos of the lock fitting process my help those trying to figure out how to use this.
